At a public event, former President Donald Trump was asked to define what a woman is. He responded, “A woman is somebody that can have a baby under certain circumstances… a person who is much smarter than a man, I’ve always found.” He added, “A woman is a person who doesn’t give a man even a chance of success and has often been treated very badly.” Trump criticized men competing in women’s sports, calling it “ridiculous and very unfair,” adding, “That’s got to be about a 94 percent issue.” He mocked Democrats for supporting it, saying, “I hope they keep that going because they’ll never win an election.”
Last month, Trump signed an executive order banning transgender women from competing in women’s sports. “The war on women’s sports is over,” he declared. “My administration will not stand by and watch men beat and batter female athletes.”
Meanwhile, a federal judge blocked Trump’s ban on transgender people serving in the military, ruling it “plainly discriminatory.” Judge Benjamin Settle stated, “The government has provided no evidence” that transgender service impacts military readiness. “We love our women, we’re going to take care of our women,” Trump concluded.
