The thrill of the rodeo turned tragic when 24-year-old Dylan Grant, a professional bull rider from Pavillion, Wyoming, died during the PRCA Xtreme Bulls event at the Wharton County Youth Fair in Texas on April 3, 2025. Grant was thrown and trampled in the second round. “Despite their efforts,” after being airlifted to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, “Grant succumbed to his injuries.”
His father, Wade, called it a “freak accident,” noting its rarity in the sport. The PRCA praised Grant’s dedication and expressed heartfelt condolences. Grant began competing professionally in 2018 and became an official PRCA cardholder in 2024. He earned over $15,000 and won the 2021 Mountain States Circuit Finals Rodeo with a score of 169.5.
Fans and fellow riders continue to share tributes, remembering Grant’s passion and the risks bull riders face. “His untimely passing serves as a poignant reminder” of those dangers.
Meanwhile, tragedy struck Kočani, North Macedonia, on March 16, 2025, when a fire at Pulse nightclub killed at least 59 people and injured over 150. Pyrotechnics ignited the ceiling during a concert, causing panic in the overcrowded venue.
Authorities blame illegal operations and poor safety. Nationwide mourning and demands for accountability followed.
