A tragic manhunt is underway in Washington for Travis Decker, a 32-year-old Army veteran accused of killing his three daughters—Paityn, 9; Evelyn, 8; and Olivia, 5—during a short, supervised visit. “Travis, if you’re out there seeing this, please turn yourself in,” pleaded Sheriff Mike Morrison. The girls were reported missing on May 30, 2025, after Decker failed to return them to their mother, Whitney.
Days later, their bodies were found near his abandoned truck in a remote area. “Each child had a plastic bag over her head and zip ties around her wrists,” authorities said, revealing signs of premeditated violence.
Decker is wanted for first-degree murder and kidnapping. Authorities suspect he may be living off-grid, using his military survival skills. “He could have scoped out a hiding place before this happened,” Morrison noted.Decker had untreated mental health issues and was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder but refused therapy. “I didn’t think he was dangerous,” Whitney said. “His mental health can be hard sometimes, but he loved them.”As the community grieves, over \$330,000 has been raised for Whitney through GoFundMe. Police warn Decker is armed and dangerous. The search continues.
