Beloved celebrity chef Anne Burrell has died at 55. She was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home on June 17, 2025. Paramedics were unable to revive her. “Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew,” her family said. Known for her spiky blond hair and spirited presence, Burrell hosted several Food Network shows including *Worst Cooks in America* and *Secrets of a Restaurant Chef*.
Burrell believed “your food knows how you’re feeling when you cook it.” She taught beginners to enjoy the process, focus on preparation, and “read \[recipes] from beginning to end before you start.” In her final days, she posted joyfully about meeting a local personality and spoke of future plans with her husband, Stuart Claxton, saying, “I love being married… it’s also the adventure together.”
Actor David Hekili Kenui Bell, known for *Lilo & Stitch* (2025), passed away on June 12 at age 46. His sister Jalene said, “He was… a Prince of a Man.” David had just attended the premiere of his film and was widely loved for his generosity and humor. He also appeared in *Hawaii Five-O* and *Magnum P.I.*, and worked at Kona Airport, where he proudly served his community.
