David H. K. Bell, known for his role in the 2025 *Lilo & Stitch* live-action film, died on June 12 at age 46. Hawai‘i police confirmed his death at 2:26 p.m., stating that “no foul play is suspected” and an autopsy will determine the cause. A coroner’s inquest is ongoing.
His sister, Jalene Kanani Bell, shared an emotional tribute on Facebook, writing, “It is with a heavy heart I share that my sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant and handsome little brother… will spend today in the company of our Heavenly Father.”
Jalene recalled first meeting David at age 18 on her high school graduation day, calling it “the most amazing surprise.” She said he filled a fatherly role in her life and “gave me all the unconditional love I could possibly ask for.”
She described David’s passions—acting, voice work, and his job at Kona Airport—as well as his joy attending the *Lilo & Stitch* premiere with family. “He was and will remain a bright and shining star,” she wrote.
In her closing words: “Hug your loved ones today… I will keep our memories alive.”
