As tensions escalate between Iran and Israel, Donald Trump has stirred global concern with threats and aggressive rhetoric. After skipping the G7 summit early, he reportedly told top U.S. officials he would approve a plan to attack Iran if necessary, stating, “I like to make the final decision one second before it’s due.”
The U.S. military’s “Doomsday plane,” designed to withstand nuclear conflict, was spotted in the skies, fueling fears of an imminent strike. Trump further warned Tehran: “Iran should have signed the deal I told them to sign… IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON.”
Russia responded with alarm. Spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned attacks on nuclear sites and warned of a potential “nuclear catastrophe.” Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov urged the U.S. to stay out, noting the conflict has already caused hundreds of deaths.
Trump’s posts on Truth Social added to the unease. “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” he wrote, adding Iran’s leader is “an easy target… but safe—for now.”
His comments drew backlash. Critics called him “deranged,” a “warmonger,” and said, “We voted for peace, we got a warlord.” One user wrote simply, “Our so-called President is out of his mind.”
