Tensions between Iran and Israel have surged since June 13, when Israel launched surprise strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military sites. Iran retaliated with missiles that struck Tel Aviv and damaged a hospital in Beersheba. Although Israel said no civilians were hurt, fears of broader conflict have escalated.
Asked whether the U.S. would strike Iran, Trump gave a vague response: *“I may do it, I may not do it. Nobody knows what I’m gonna do.”* Critics slammed his words as reckless, with one user posting: *“He doesn’t know what he’s doing—this is our president.”*
On Truth Social, Trump declared: *“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran… Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”* He warned Iran’s Supreme Leader to surrender, saying, *“We know exactly where… he is hiding… He is an easy target… but not for now.”*
Despite denying direct involvement in Israel’s attacks, Trump threatened: *“If we are attacked… the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.”*
Public support has dropped—54% disapprove of Trump’s performance, and 60% believe the U.S. should stay out of the conflict.
