President Donald Trump confirmed a U.S. military strike on Iran, targeting nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. He wrote on Truth Social: *“We have completed our very successful attack… All planes are now outside of Iran air space… NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”*
Iran condemned the strikes. Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi called them *“outrageous, lawless and illegal behavior,”* and accused the U.S. of violating the UN Charter and international law. He warned, *“Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty.”*
The attack used bunker busters and 30 Tomahawk missiles. British PM Keir Starmer supported the action, stating, *“Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat… the US has taken action to alleviate that threat.”*
Reform UK’s Nigel Farage agreed: *“Iran must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons, the future of Israel depends on it.”*
UK Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds added that while the UK wasn’t directly involved, Iran had rejected diplomatic solutions. *“People will be waking up this morning… they’ll want to know what this means,”* he said.
