The military developed a sleep method to help soldiers fall asleep anywhere, even under extreme conditions. Fitness coach Justin Agustin shared this method on TikTok, calling it a “military-proven technique” with a 96% success rate. It can reportedly put you to sleep in just two minutes, but it requires up to six weeks of practice.
To begin, lie down in a comfortable position. “Relax the muscles in your forehead,” then move down to your eyes, cheeks, jaw, neck, shoulders, hands, and fingers—focusing on your breathing the entire time.Next, “imagine a warm sensation” starting at your scalp and flowing down through your body—chest, arms, legs, and toes—while staying mentally calm.
Agustin says to clear your mind by visualizing calming scenes, like “lying on a canoe in a quiet lake” or “in a black velvet hammock in a pitch-black room.”
If thoughts distract you, repeat the words *“don’t think”* to regain focus. One TikTok commenter wrote, *“I’m a military brat and was taught this… It definitely works.”* While it may take some time to master, this technique could become your secret weapon for beating sleepless nights.
