Large HURRICANE CATEGORY forming

A rapidly intensifying hurricane has reached Category 4, with winds over 130 mph, and may strengthen into a Category 5 before hitting land. “The storm’s development has been unusually fast,” meteorologists warn, sparking urgent alerts and concern across the Gulf Coast and Southeastern U.S.

Experts predict “life-threatening storm surges,” with water possibly rising up to 15 feet in low-lying areas. Torrential rain and powerful winds are expected to cause severe flooding and widespread structural damage.

Mandatory evacuations are underway in coastal and flood-prone zones. Officials urge people to act now: “Delaying evacuation could put lives at risk.”

Those outside evacuation areas should immediately prepare—secure windows, bring in loose items, and remove debris. Households should also gather emergency supplies like food, water, flashlights, medications, and batteries.

Staying updated is vital. Residents are urged to follow alerts from the National Weather Service and local authorities. This hurricane presents an “extreme threat,” and timely action is key to staying safe.
