Mother posts picture breastfeeding toddler in public – she finally responds to all the backlash

A young mother named Trinati is challenging the stigma around public breastfeeding by openly nursing her 17-month-old daughter wherever needed. “I never shy away from providing my children with what they may need,” she explained. Despite receiving judgmental stares and even being ushered into broom closets by store staff, she remains unapologetic.

To make her stance clear, she had her son photograph her breastfeeding at Costco, saying, “I never want to forget… the lengths we, as mothers, will go to when ensuring our kids are well looked after.” She later shared the photo on Instagram to promote the normalization of breastfeeding in public.

Trinati also faces criticism from friends and family who ask, “How long are you going to do ‘that’ for?” to which she replies, “As long as she needs me to!” Tired of people sexualizing the act, she adds, “These are basically udders right now\… Right now they belong to my child for nourishment.”

She emphasizes that her children’s needs come first, stating, “Trust is a fundamental tool… and it begins with the care that we receive in childhood.”

Her message: breastfeeding is natural, not shameful — and certainly not sexual.
