Much pain and sadness, the dear pi died in a very serious accident!

A fatal crash on the SC-390 highway in Ipira, Santa Catarina, claimed the life of a 31-year-old motorcyclist on Saturday, the 7th. Witnesses recalled hearing the “powerful engine” of his BMW S1000 RR just before the violent head-on collision with a Renault Sandero. Moments later, the superbike was “a mangled heap of metal.”

According to the Military Highway Police, the rider crossed into the opposite lane during a curve, striking the car driven by a 30-year-old woman. Both vehicles suffered severe damage, with the motorcycle taking the brunt of the impact.

Firefighters arrived quickly, provided first aid, and rushed the rider to a hospital, but he died shortly after. The Sandero driver tested negative for alcohol but admitted her family removed her car before police arrived, which may hinder evidence collection.

The BMW, valued at up to R\$150,000, was destroyed—its frame twisted and fairings scattered across the road. The wreck was towed to the police impound.

The tragedy highlights the dangers of high-speed crashes, where even advanced motorcycles offer little protection. For witnesses, the debris-strewn asphalt and lingering smell of gasoline remain a grim reminder of life’s fragility.
