BELOVED DALLAS AND FULL HOUSE ACTRESS DIES AT 95

Hollywood is mourning Alice Hirson, a beloved actress who “left an enduring mark on television.” She passed away peacefully at 95 at the Motion Picture and Television Country House and Hospital in Los Angeles.

Born in Brooklyn in 1929, Hirson began her acting journey with a love for theater and storytelling. Over decades, she appeared in films like Private Benjamin and Revenge of the Nerds, but it was television where she truly shone.

She is fondly remembered as Claire Tanner, Danny Tanner’s mother on Full House. To millions, she “felt like part of the family,” bringing warmth and wit that still resonate.

Hirson also played Lois Morgan on Ellen and had a recurring role on Dallas, showcasing her versatility and comedic timing. Her performances bridged generations, becoming part of childhood memories and family viewing traditions.

Though many fans never met her, she became “a familiar face in living rooms across America.” Hollywood and audiences grieve her passing, honoring a legacy that will live on through the timeless characters she brought to life.
