In January 2023, Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury revealed their daughter’s name. The reaction was split—some adored it, while others mocked it as “a stripper name.” Hague admitted, “I know it’s not to everyone’s taste, but to me it’s beautiful,” adding that she had dreamed of the name since childhood. Fury said it was the only name that ever felt right. As criticism grew, they disabled comments to avoid trolling.
At the same time, Australian TikTok creator Indy Clinton named her daughter Bambi Valentine. She laughed at the coincidence, saying, “Great minds think alike.” Inspired while reading the Bambi story to her son, she felt it suited her newborn’s “big brown eyes and a sweet nature.”
Reactions were mixed, but Clinton dismissed negativity: “People will criticize anything these days, so at least give them something to talk about.” She added, “Bambi fits right in with Rivers, Bears, Forests, Stormis, and Wolfs.”
