Donald Trump has left supporters puzzled after reportedly sending an email asking for $15 donations so he can “get to heaven.” The email, verified by multiple sources, was shared by Metro and circulated widely on social media.
It comes shortly after Trump had to deny rumors that he was dead, which spread online after he disappeared from public view in late August. On August 31, he wrote on Truth Social that he was “never felt better” and later dismissed the claims as “fake news.”
In the fundraising email, Trump referenced last year’s assassination attempt, writing: “I want to try and get to Heaven. Last year I came millimetres from death when that bullet pierced through my skin… But I believe God saved me for one reason. TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
He continued: “I wasn’t supposed to beat Crooked Hillary in 2016 – but I did… I certainly wasn’t supposed to survive an assassin’s bullet, but by the grace of the almighty God, I did. So NOW, I have no other choice but to answer to the Call to Duty.”
Launching what he called a “24-HOUR TRUMP FUNDRAISING BLITZ,” he urged followers to donate $15, saying: “We will NEVER back down, NEVER give an inch, and NEVER SURRENDER in our fight to save this country.”
Online reactions were skeptical, with one user writing: “Money won’t get him to heaven!”
