In the 2015 film, Schumer plays a commitment-phobic woman dating Cena’s gym-obsessed Steven. Promoting the movie, she compared his backside to “a whole universe” and described being under him like “a refrigerator” pressing down. She even teased, “I just did what I normally do during sex—just lay there.”
Cena later told Conan O’Brien that the scene was designed to be awkward, meant to make audiences squirm. On the Club Shay Shay podcast, he admitted intimate scenes are far from romantic, with crews nearby adding to the discomfort. Still, he praised Schumer for putting him at ease.
