Jamie Lee Curtis makes honest Charlie Kirk remark after ‘disagreeing with him on everything’

Jamie Lee Curtis has spoken out following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during a September 10 event at Utah Valley University. The FBI confirmed the investigation is ongoing.

On Marc Maron’s podcast, Curtis mistakenly referred to Kirk as “Charlie Crist” but said, “I disagreed with him on almost every point… but I believe he was a man of faith, and I hope in that moment when he died, that he felt connected with his faith.” Fighting tears, she condemned the circulation of videos showing the assassination: “I don’t ever want to see this footage of this man being shot.”

Curtis compared the constant replay of violent imagery to 9/11 footage: “We as a society are bombarded with imagery… we don’t know what the longitudinal effects [are] of seeing those towers come down over and over… or watching his execution over and over.”

Other public figures, including Chris Pratt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jake Paul, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris, also condemned the killing. Biden said, “It must end now. Jill and I are praying for Charlie Kirk’s family.”

Authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson less than 48 hours after the shooting. Utah Governor Spencer Cox revealed chilling Discord messages where Robinson discussed retrieving and hiding a rifle, changing outfits, and engraving bullets. The FBI is investigating possible wider links.
