With heavy hearts… 💔 Dolly Parton needs our prayers and support

Dolly Parton’s family is asking fans to “keep the 79-year-old legend in their prayers” as she faces ongoing health challenges that recently forced her to postpone her Las Vegas residency.

Her sister Freida Parton shared an emotional message online, saying, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly… she hasn’t been feeling her best lately.” Freida didn’t reveal details, but her words came shortly after Dolly confirmed that doctors advised her to pause performances for “a few procedures.”

Despite the concern, Dolly’s spirit remains strong. “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she told fans. She also revealed that a kidney stone and infection recently sidelined her from a Dollywood event, saying, “The doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute.’”

Even while recovering, Dolly continues to work on new projects, including a musical about her life, a children’s book, and a fashion partnership.

Freida’s post closed with hope and love: “She’s strong, she’s loved… Godspeed, my sissy Dolly.” After losing her husband Carl Dean earlier this year, Dolly said, “I truly believe that I’m going to see him again someday.” Fans worldwide now return that faith with prayers for her recovery
