Actor Bill Cobbs, known for roles in The Bodyguard, Night at the Museum, and New Jack City, has passed away at age 90. His brother, pastor Thomas G. Cobbs, confirmed the news on Facebook, writing, “Bill died peacefully at his home in California on June 25.”

Thomas added, “Bill recently celebrated his 90th birthday with loved ones who he cares about a lot,” noting that the family is “thankful for the love and support” they’ve received.

Throughout his long career, Cobbs appeared in over 150 films and TV shows, earning admiration for his warm presence and depth in every role.

Fans and colleagues are mourning the loss of a beloved actor who, as many described, brought “kindness and grace” both on and off screen.

Cobbs is remembered not only for his talent but also for his humility and faith — qualities that defined his life and legacy.
