Honoring His Enduring MAS*H Legacy

Patrick Adiarte, the beloved actor best known as Ho-Jon in the first season of MASH, has passed away at 82 due to complications from pneumonia.

Born in Hawaii, Adiarte began his career in The King and I, later earning praise for portraying roles that radiated “depth, dignity, and compassion.” His performance as the gentle orphan Ho-Jon made him “a symbol of resilience amid war,” leaving a lasting emotional mark on audiences.

Beyond acting, Adiarte was admired as “a kind soul, a mentor, and an advocate for Asian-American representation in the arts.” His dedication to breaking stereotypes and opening doors for others made him a quiet trailblazer in Hollywood.
