An Emirates flight from Thiruvananthapuram, India, crash-landed at Dubai International Airport, yet “all 300 people on board — 282 passengers and 18 crew — survived the dramatic incident.”

The Boeing aircraft made an emergency landing around 12:45 p.m. after the pilot reported landing gear problems. Seconds later, it “skidded along the runway, erupting into flames as smoke billowed across the airport.” Passengers were evacuated within minutes, thanks to the crew’s swift actions and emergency teams.

Ten people suffered minor injuries from smoke inhalation, but tragedy struck when “one firefighter lost his life while battling the blaze,” an act described by officials as “heroic and selfless.” His quick response prevented the fire from spreading to nearby planes.

Investigators believe sudden wind shear — a sharp change in wind direction — may have caused the crash landing. Experts praised the pilots, saying their calm professionalism “saved many lives.”

Emirates thanked the first responders and expressed “heartfelt condolences to the fallen firefighter’s family,” pledging full cooperation with investigators. Aviation experts called the survival of everyone on board “a miracle of training and composure,” turning a near catastrophe into a story of courage and teamwork.
