President Donald J. Trump reaffirmed his stance that “criminals who cause damage and devastation to our communities… will be caught and prosecuted.”
Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, a senior MS-13 leader, was extradited from Mexico to the U.S. after FBI Director Kash Patel announced his capture. Roman-Bardales was wanted “for his alleged role in drug distribution and extortion schemes in the United States and El Salvador, as well as his role in ordering numerous acts of violence against civilians and rival gang members.”
Since Trump took office, he has become the third fugitive from the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” list to be caught.
Earlier in 2025, Arnoldo Jimenez, wanted for first-degree murder, was arrested on January 30, and Donald Eugene Fields II, accused of child rape and sex trafficking, was captured on January 25.
The administration emphasized that “to ensure the safety of the American people, the Trump Administration will do whatever it takes.”
