Newt Gingrich Warns of ‘Very Dangerous’ Rhetoric as Political Tensions Escalate

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich warned that rising hostility toward former President Trump is creating a “very dangerous” divide in the country. Speaking on Fox News, he accused Democratic leaders like Hakeem Jeffries of using rhetoric that “erodes trust in government.”

Gingrich compared the current political climate to a constitutional “stress test,” urging both sides to “show restraint and respect the rule of law.” He also criticized House Democrats for their “disengagement” during a recent joint session, calling it a sign of weak leadership.

Citing polls showing that “82% of Americans believe the system is corrupt,” Gingrich argued that reform should be the goal, not more division.

He defended public figures like Elon Musk, claiming that attacks on Trump allies reflect a fear of change.

Gingrich concluded that growing voter frustration will likely play a major role in shaping the 2026 midterm elections.
