A tragic incident at Oregon’s Green Valley Zoo left zookeeper Michael Torres, 32, critically injured on August 23, 2025. Torres, “known by colleagues for his steady presence and deep affection for the animals in his care,” was performing his usual morning duties when the accident occurred.
