After a three-decade fight with Parkinson’s, Michael J. Fox releases a touching new statement.

Michael J. Fox has shared an emotional update after 30 years of living with Parkinson’s disease. He admitted that the condition is increasingly difficult to manage, saying, “It’s getting tougher.”

He also revealed he recently had spinal surgery to remove a benign tumor that affected his mobility. The recovery caused multiple falls and fractures, adding to the strain. Fox explained the reality of his condition, noting, “You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s.”

Speaking openly about his future, he acknowledged the limits the disease may place on his life and said, “I’m not gonna be 80.” His words show both acceptance and the emotional weight of living with a progressive illness.

Fox’s journey is explored in his documentary Still, where he describes the pain, tremors, and daily challenges that come with Parkinson’s.

Despite everything, Fox remains hopeful and determined. He continues to advocate for Parkinson’s research and assures fans he’s not “going anywhere.”
