Two people were found dead Sunday afternoon inside a Los Angeles home owned by Hollywood director Rob Reiner. Authorities described the case as an “apparent homicide.”
Firefighters were called to the Brentwood residence around 3:30 p.m. for a medical aid request. When they arrived, they discovered both individuals deceased inside the home, and police were immediately notified.
According to officials, the victims were “a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman.” Their identities have not been publicly released, and police have not confirmed their relationship to the property.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division is handling the case. Investigators said, “At this time, no further details are available as this is an ongoing RHD investigation.” The scene was secured as detectives continued collecting evidence.
Authorities have not said whether Rob Reiner was present at the home at the time of the incident. Representatives for the director have not released any public statement. The investigation remains active, and officials say more information will be shared once it becomes available.
