Macaulay Culkin shared an emotional Instagram tribute to his Home Alone co-star Catherine O’Hara following her death at age 71. In a deeply personal caption, he wrote: “Mama. I thought we had time… I love you. I’ll see you later.” His words reflected a bond that went far beyond their roles on screen.
O’Hara famously played Kate McCallister, the mother of Culkin’s Kevin McCallister, in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The role helped launch Culkin’s career and made their on-screen relationship one of the most recognizable in family films.
The two reunited publicly in December 2023, when Culkin received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
