Beloved Singer Found Unresponsive at Home

Rich Homie Quan, 34, was found dead Thursday at his Atlanta home. The hip-hop artist, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was known for hits like “Type of Way” and “Flex.” His family and a local morgue confirmed the news to TMZ, expressing their heartbreak over his sudden passing. The cause of death is currently unknown, with an autopsy scheduled by the Fulton County Medical Examiner.

Rapper Boosie Badazz shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “JUST TALK TO WUAN THE OTHER DAY.” Fans and fellow artists, including Jacquees, offered their condolences online, mourning the loss. Rich Homie Quan rose to fame in 2013, and his collaborations with Young Thug as part of Rich Gang produced memorable tracks like “Lifestyle.” Recently, he spoke about distancing himself from the group. Quan leaves behind four sons. His last social media post on September 3 reflected his dedication to his music career.
