On Thanksgiving, my 5-year-old daughter threw the turkey on the floor. When I asked her why, she yelled, “I saved everyone!”

Thanksgiving at Margaret’s home took a shocking turn when her 5-year-old daughter, Monica, threw the turkey onto the floor, shouting, “I SAVED YOU ALL!” Initially seen as a tantrum, Monica revealed she overheard her grandmother plotting to “ruin Margaret’s dinner” by adding black powder to the turkey as a prank.

The grandmother confessed it was a petty attempt to undermine Margaret’s hosting. Outraged, Margaret’s husband, Roger, declared an end to family gatherings with his parents.

The evening ended with pizza and laughter, a reminder that Thanksgiving isn’t about perfect meals but standing up for loved ones and embracing what truly matters—family and truth.
