Alia Nasyrova, a self-proclaimed “real-life Rapunzel,” boasts a remarkable 90-inch-long mane, inspired by her love for long-haired fairy tale heroines. Over two decades, she nurtured her hair to this astounding length and turned it into her livelihood, showcasing it on her website for paying admirers. Her hair care routine is extensive, involving daily washing and air drying, along with a travel bag packed with 22 pounds of hair products.
Nasyrova even uses a yoga mat to perform hair exercises. Her husband, Ivan Balaban, admires her hair from a distance to avoid any accidental damage, stating, “I always talk to the braid respectfully. Sometimes I ask it to move a bit.”
However, maintaining such lengthy locks comes with challenges. Nasyrova recounted a childhood mishap when someone left gum in her hair, forcing her to cut a clump to remove it. Although she doesn’t hold the record for the longest hair (that title belongs to China’s Xie Qiuping), Alia Nasyrova’s dedication to her long hair is undeniably impressive. Whether you’d admire or prefer more manageable hair, her commitment is commendable.
