In a heart-wrenching incident, a sweet pitbull mix named Riona endured unimaginable cruelty when someone deliberately set her on fire in Nutbush, Tennessee. Witnesses confirmed that she was doused in diesel fuel, and a neighbor’s ring camera captured her running in flames. A viral TikTok video garnered worldwide sympathy for her.

Mallory Mclemore, a veterinary specialist, said, “She’s just always wagging her tail. That’s what makes it even worse… She just loves everybody.” Thanks to donations and support from caring individuals, Riona’s recovery continued.

Quishon Brown, a 43-year-old, was arrested for this heinous act and faces charges for assaulting Riona, aggravated cruelty to animals, and property arson.

Now, nearly a year later, Riona’s story takes a hopeful turn. Tails of Hope Dog Rescue announced her journey to a new forever home.
