Miley Cyrus was reportedly unaware of the alleged “drama” surrounding her mother, Tish Cyrus, sister Noah Cyrus, and Tish’s new husband, Dominic Purcell. A source revealed to PEOPLE, “Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all.”

According to an insider, Noah and Purcell were involved in a casual, off-and-on relationship before Tish began dating him. “Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends-with-benefits way. They stopped seeing each other, and then Tish started something up,” the source claimed, adding that “Tish knew he had been seeing Noah.”

The singer reportedly confronted her mother about the situation, finding it “strange” but emphasizing her love and desire for Tish’s happiness. Noah, however, “was offended” by her mother’s relationship with Purcell and did not attend their August 19, 2023, wedding, where Miley served as maid of honor.

Tish married Purcell a year after her divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus, ending their 28-year marriage. The split was reportedly “long overdue” but difficult for their children, including Miley, Noah, Brandi, Trace, and Braison.

Adding to the family’s milestones, Noah announced her engagement to fashion designer Pinkus in June 2023, two months before Tish’s wedding.
