Sylvester Stallone’s 1st wife pleaded with their son to skip dental surgery weeks before his death in 2012

Sylvester Stallone’s life has been marked by immense struggles, including the tragic death of his first-born, Sage, in 2012. “There’s simply nothing worse in life than losing a child, and this no matter what the child’s age,” Stallone shared, highlighting the pain of such a loss.

Before his son’s death, Stallone faced a tough childhood, which mirrored the struggles of his famous “Rocky” character. Born with a facial injury that caused a lifelong snarl, Stallone was bullied and had an abusive home life. He was kicked out of 13 schools and broke 11 bones by age 12. Despite these challenges, Stallone found solace in bodybuilding and acting.

Stallone’s early years were marked by poverty and homelessness, with him once describing how “that coat saved my life” during harsh New York winters. His breakthrough came in 1976 with “Rocky,” propelling him to stardom.

In 2012, Sage’s sudden death led to rumors about substance abuse, which were later debunked. Sage’s attorney, George Braunstein, clarified that Sage had no history of drug use. The cause of death was eventually deferred for further testing.

In the wake of his son’s death, Stallone asked for privacy, saying, “This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives.” He implored the public to remember Sage with compassion, emphasizing the overwhelming grief of losing a child.
