Woman dying of cancer shares her biggest regret

Amanda Hedges, 31, reflects on life after an aggressive brain cancer diagnosis left her with only months to live. What began as mild headaches last year turned out to be caused by an inoperable tumor. “I asked my psychiatrist about it… they went away with Panadol,” she explained, but an MRI revealed the devastating truth.

Now, facing endless rounds of treatment, Amanda regrets “forgetting to live.” She shared, “None of my old bosses or colleagues are sitting with me while I do chemo. It’s my mum and dad and friends.” If she could go back, she’d focus on what truly matters: “I would spend more time with the people who actually mattered, meet someone, have kids, travel.”

Amanda hopes to create joyful memories, like staying at a beach hotel or visiting Australia Zoo again. Determined to make the most of her remaining days, she launched a GoFundMe to fulfill her dreams.
