Hollywood star Dalyce Curry, known for her role as an extra in *Blues Brothers*, was found dead after her Altadena home was destroyed in the LA fires. The Eaton Fire, one of several devastating blazes in the area, claimed Curry’s life on January 12. Her body was discovered around 6 p.m., days after her family had last seen her on January 7.
Curry’s granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, expressed heartbreak on Facebook, calling her grandmother “an extraordinary woman” who “radiated positivity, grace, and strength.” Kelley recounted the devastating moment an officer confirmed the home was gone, saying, “Everything was gone except her blue Cadillac.”
Another granddaughter, Lorée Beamer-Wilkinson, wrote, “We are devastated. It’s difficult to comprehend how her life came to this end.” The LA fires have claimed 24 lives, displaced over 200,000 people, and destroyed countless homes and businesses.
