Celebrities rally to Taylor Swift’s defense as she’s brutally booed at Super Bowl

Taylor Swift was taken aback when she was booed by a large portion of the 75,000-strong crowd at the Super Bowl while supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Philadelphia Eagles. “What is going on?” she appeared to say, confused by the reaction.

Serena Williams quickly defended Swift, tweeting, “I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!” Fans also reacted, with one explaining, “Eagles fans are booing her… she’s originally from Philly but obviously rooting for Travis and the Chiefs.” Another added, “This is normal.”

Despite the boos for Swift, former President Donald Trump was loudly cheered. He became the first sitting U.S. president to attend a Super Bowl and has previously expressed disdain for Swift, once posting, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Their history includes Swift endorsing Democrat Kamala Harris while Trump’s campaign mistakenly shared an AI-generated image suggesting she supported him.

Meanwhile, Kelce arrived in a bold Amiri suit, with some speculating Swift had a say in his fashion choice.
