The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued an Enhanced Risk warning for severe thunderstorms in parts of the central U.S., including central Oklahoma, north Texas, and Kansas. Cities like Oklahoma City, Norman, and Denton are at heightened risk. A Tornado Watch is also in effect for southwest Arkansas, southern Oklahoma, and northeast Texas.
Severe weather is expected to develop from the evening of March 3, 2025, into the morning of March 4, with torrential rains, tornadoes, damaging wind gusts, and large hail posing major threats.
Forecasters warn of a “potentially dangerous environment” as storms intensify overnight, increasing risks to public safety and property.
