At least **37 people died** and dozens were injured in a **head-on bus collision** in Bolivia between Uyuni and Colchani. The crash happened early Saturday in the **Potosí region**.

Police reported that **39 injured passengers** were taken to hospitals in Uyuni. Emergency crews used a crane to recover bodies trapped inside one overturned bus.

Authorities believe one bus **swerved into the oncoming lane**, possibly due to **speeding**, causing the crash. Both vehicles were severely damaged.

Rescue teams worked for hours helping survivors and retrieving bodies. Local officials are urging **stricter road safety measures** to avoid future tragedies.

The community is in shock, with families mourning their loved ones as investigations into the cause continue.
