Natural Pest Control: Eliminate Bed Bugs and Household Pests with Diatomaceous Earth & Cloves

**How to Apply Diatomaceous Earth (DE)**

“Vacuum mattresses, furniture, and carpets” before using DE. Make sure to “dispose of the vacuum bag” to remove pests.

“Sprinkle DE around bed frames, furniture, cracks, and baseboards.” Cover any areas where bed bugs hide.

Leave the DE in place for “5–7 days without disturbing” it. This gives time for the powder to work.

Afterward, “vacuum up DE and dead bugs.” To be effective, “reapply every 7–10 days until bed bugs are gone.”

**Cloves for Bed Bugs**

Cloves can repel some pests. You can use “clove sachets or oil for general pest control,” but “there’s no strong evidence they affect bed bugs.” Stick with proven treatments like DE.
