On March 11, the White House lawn resembled a Tesla showroom as Trump praised the company and promised to oppose a “radical left” boycott. He announced plans to “buy a Tesla at full price,” calling its technology impressive.
Later, on Truth Social, Trump accused the “radical left” of trying to “sabotage Musk’s business for political reasons.” He described Tesla as “one of the world’s great automakers” and defended Musk against what he claimed were unfair attacks.
Despite his past skepticism of EVs, Trump’s tone shifted. He commended Tesla’s innovation and insisted that Musk was being targeted for political reasons.
