Donald Trump shared a heartwarming moment with Elon Musk’s energetic four-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, as they boarded Marine Force One on Friday. The “lively preschooler walked alongside the former president across the White House’s South Lawn,” with Trump helping him up the aircraft stairs.
Elon Musk joined them, now serving as a senior advisor to Trump while leading the Department of Government Efficiency. The trio departed for Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump plans to spend the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Meanwhile, as Marine Force One lifted off, excitement grew with SpaceX’s latest mission. On Friday night, a Falcon 9 rocket “roared into the sky from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center,” carrying four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).
This mission’s goal is to assist Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, astronauts “stranded in orbit for nine months.” The rescue team is expected to dock at the ISS late Saturday. If all goes as planned, Williams and Wilmore will return to Earth around March 19, ending their extended and challenging stay in space.
