Dozens of immigrants have landed inside the world’s “worst prison” as US President Donald Trump defies judges’ orders.
As many as 250 alleged criminals were deported to El Salvador’s infamous mega-prison. Trump pushed the move using the rarely invoked Alien Enemies Act of 1798. The law was last used to justify internment camps during World War II.

Trump has long aimed to use the 18th-century law to speed up mass deportations of non-US citizens accused of gang ties or crimes, often without court hearings. His executive order, signed hours after taking office, described an “invasion” of immigrants linked to organized crime.
