Inside the tough and challenging life of Pattie Mallette

Pattie Mallette, best known as Justin Bieber’s mother, has endured a life filled with hardship. “My life was really painful as a child,” she once shared. At just 2 years old, she lost her sister in a tragic accident. Growing up, she faced years of abuse that led her down a troubled path.

By 14, Pattie was involved in substance use and crime. Her struggles deepened, and at 17, she became a single mother, raising Justin in “low-income housing.” She battled mental health issues and attempted suicide, eventually being hospitalized.

Later, Pattie reconnected with Justin’s father, Jeremy Bieber. Despite everything, she found strength in motherhood. She and Justin “bond over their shared love for the arts,” which helped heal their relationship.

Through resilience and faith, Pattie overcame her painful past.
