Six people death after tourist submarine sinks

A tourist submarine carrying 44 passengers sank off the coast of Egypt near Hurghada, leaving six dead and several injured. The incident occurred near the Sindbad Club Hotel marina, with most passengers being Russian tourists, including children. The Russian embassy confirmed, “All of them are Russian citizens, tourists of the company ‘Biblio Globus.’”

Among the victims were medics Ravil Valiullin, 40, and Kristina, 39, from Tatarstan, whose two orphaned daughters are receiving medical care in Egypt. Two other Russian children also died. “Four people have been killed. The fate of several tourists is being determined,” the embassy stated.

Authorities have not confirmed the cause, but some reports suggest the submarine may have hit a coral reef. A previous passenger described it as being in “terrible condition,” with broken glass and poor visibility. Rescue efforts included 21 ambulances, and 27 people were hospitalized, four in critical condition. Another 29 were rescued unharmed, while two remain missing. This is not the first such tragedy—last November, a boat named *Sea Story* sank near Marsa Alam, carrying 45 people.
