Grandma reveals what she looked like before full body tattoos

Kerstin Tristan, a 56-year-old grandmother from Germany, once disliked tattoos. “I simply wanted to try something new,” she said, explaining how her mindset changed in 2015. That year, she got her first tattoo, and what started as curiosity soon became a passion. Since then, she has spent around €30,000 ($32,000) on body art.
Her transformation has been dramatic. Once tattoo-free, she now proudly showcases a body covered in intricate designs—roses on her legs, leopard prints on her shoulders, and portraits on her arms. “When I look at myself in the mirror, I see a beautiful meadow full of flowers that one has to love,” she shared.

Kerstin embraces tattoos as a form of self-expression, proving that age should not limit personal choices. With over 190,000 Instagram followers and viral TikTok videos, she inspires many to defy societal expectations.
