Ethan Bramble, known as “ModBoy,” started altering his body at just 11. Over time, he spent nearly \$39,000 on modifications like a split tongue, stretched ears, and over 200 tattoos. “I became a walking piece of art,” he said, and his look drew constant attention.
Now 24 and a father, Ethan’s feelings have changed. “It started as self-expression,” he explained, but it eventually became a source of discomfort and judgment. His main concern now is how his appearance might affect his daughter and how others might treat her because of him.To begin again, Ethan started laser tattoo removal—an expensive and painful process. He has already completed several sessions and hopes to “clear the canvas” to feel more comfortable.
Ethan accepts his past but embraces change. “It’s never too late to evolve,” he says. For him, the journey is about growth and a second chance.
His story shows that transformation is possible—no matter how permanent things seem—with reflection, courage, and the willingness to move forward.
