Woman Escapes Tragedy By Minutes After Missing Deadly Air India Flight — Her Chilling Story

A woman narrowly escaped tragedy after missing a deadly Air India flight by just minutes. Bhoomi Chauhan, a 28-year-old student from the UK, was set to board Air India Flight 171 from Ahmedabad to London on June 12. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all 253 people on board and several on the ground.

Chauhan had checked in online and arrived at the airport ten minutes after boarding began. “We got very angry with our driver and left the airport in frustration,” she recalled. At the time, she was upset, thinking, “If I had started a little early, I would have boarded the plane.”

While discussing a refund with her travel agent, she learned of the crash. “This is totally a miracle for me,” she said.

Only one passenger survived: British citizen Vishwash Ramesh, who was seated in emergency exit row 11A. “Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed,” he said. Injured but conscious, he called his family from the wreckage. “I don’t know how I am alive,” he told his brother.

Experts called Ramesh’s survival extraordinary, given his seat’s location near the wing. Authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash.
