President Donald Trump revealed that Iran is seeking a direct meeting with his administration and is even open to sending a delegation to the White House. “They want to talk,” Trump said on Wednesday, amid rising Middle East tensions.
At the same time, Israel has intensified its attacks on Iranian military and nuclear sites. Unable to destroy Iran’s deeply buried Fordow Nuclear Enrichment Center, Israel is pressuring the U.S. to conduct the strike instead.
Israeli Ambassador to the U.S., Yechiel Leiter, told Fox News that “Fordow must be eliminated,” leading reporters to ask if such action was a condition for any U.S.-Iran agreement.
Trump downplayed that, saying it was only “a topic of discussion.” While highlighting U.S. military strength, he stopped short of promising any attack.
The situation reflects growing pressure on Washington as diplomacy and military threats collide.
