Lamnunthem Singson, a 26-year-old flight attendant, was among the 241 victims of the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025. She had spoken to her mother the night before, saying she needed to sleep early as she was flying to London the next day. “She had said she was going to London and wanted to sleep… then they prayed together over the phone,” said her cousin Lun Kipgen.
Lamnunthem was the only daughter of her widowed mother and the family’s sole breadwinner. “Her mother is in deep shock and is not having meals,” Kipgen shared. The family has not yet received her identified body.
The tragedy has drawn emotional reactions online. One user wrote: “You dreamt big and made your family proud. Rest in peace dear sis.”
Only one person survived the crash — British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. He later shared that the crash “happened within seconds” and he had not used the emergency exit. Another British victim, Fiongal Greenlaw-Meek, had recorded a final video before departure, saying he was “going back happily.”
The crash has renewed public concern about Air India’s safety and Boeing aircraft.
