Loved ones are grieving after 15-year-old Aleia Kuhn tragically died in an accident during a youth event at Philippi Baptist Church on June 18, just days before her 16th birthday.
Her mother, Amanda Schroeder-Kuhn, shared an emotional post calling Aleia her “sweetest baby girl” and “forever angel.” She asked for prayers for their family, including Aleia’s siblings and boyfriend Carter Spence, whom she called “the love of her life.” Amanda wrote, “She was too good for this earth but I’m too selfish to not want her back.”
Aleia’s father, Christopher Kuhn, also shared a touching tribute with a photo of them smiling. “I hear your voice continuously! I hear you saying ‘I love you daddy.’ I will for the rest of my life!” He described her as his “beautiful sweet God fearing daughter,” proud of her unshakable faith.
Aleia, born July 23, 2009, was preparing to start 11th grade at Skipstone Academy in Georgia. Her obituary read: “Though our selfishness wants her back… Heaven is too beautiful… We will see her again.”
Friends and family flooded social media with tributes. One wrote, “Fly high Aleia Kuhn. #Forever15.” Though her life was short, her impact was “immeasurable.”
